The rarest of the rare: an exceptional, meticulously restored set of eight (8) modern cane dining chairs by Michael Taylor for Baker Furniture, circa 1960. The set consists of two (2) host chairs and six (6) side chairs. While this stellar design clearly demonstrates the influence of both Edward Wormley and Tommi Parzinger, the execution is the gifted Mr. Taylor at the pinnacle of his Craft. A set of this magnitude is the collector’s equivalent to capturing a Purple Unicorn. Expertly crafted solid walnut construction with fabulous lines and detail. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and rare chair designs in the Taylor/Baker archive. Important chairs intended to anchor an important dining room. EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION.
