An exceptional example from a rare series produced by Johnson Furniture Company, circa 1960. This table, often attributed to Paul Frankl, is actually the work of long time firm designer Renzo Rutili. Stunning mahogany oval top with the original factory faux marble finish. Lovely brass and nailhead apron detail. Stout single pedestal base with forged bronze Greek Key feet. Exquisite Art Deco styling. Fabulous jewelry! Excellent restored condition. The piece has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The table is 71″ long in its reduced state and comes with two 14″ wide leaves. The price listed includes table top finish in black lacquer, should that be desired. The set of eight cream lacquer dining chairs and buffet from this unusual series are available in separate listing posts. The measurements noted are per the table fully extended.
