A fantastic set of twelve (12) dining chairs from a rare series by Michael Taylor for Baker Furniture, circa 1960. There are two (2) host and ten (10) side chairs. Examples from this low production series are seldom available for sale; a set of this size is the Collector’s equivalent to capturing a Unicorn. This design is Mr. Taylor’s modern interpretation of the classic Windsor chair. Stout and sturdy Ash construction with clean handsome lines and detail, beautifully finished in black lacquer. Comfortable chairs built and intended for heavy regular use. Important chairs equal to anchoring an important dining room. The set is completely installation ready. Excellent Restored Condition. Professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The host chairs measure: 22.5 inches wide; 32.5 inches high (back); 20 inches deep; arm height 26 inches; seat 19.5 inches high.
