These magnificent commodes are shipped as professionally photographed and described in the listing narrative: Meticulously professionally restored and completely installation ready.
A beautiful example from a rare case series by American of Martinsville, circa 1950. Stout, expertly crafted solid Mahogany case construction with exceptional lines and detail. Stunning wormhole accents on the drawer front adds the element of texture. The A of M designers were always cognizant of great furniture being produced by rival manufacturers. Here, the influence of both George Nakashima and Paul Laszlo are evident. While it will integrate seamlessly in a modern backdrop, the piece is particularly interesting when juxtaposed against a traditional interior. Very versatile. Dealer has several other case pieces from this unusual series. Excellent Restored Condition. There are currently a pair of these chests available. Retains the Maker mark.
