A fabulous commode by Baker Furniture, circa 1960. This difficult to find example is from the boutique “New World” collection designed by the esteemed Michael Taylor. Expertly crafted solid hardwood construction with handsome lines and detail. Exquisitely veneered in bookmatch cherry. Carved walnut pulls finished in chocolate lacquer. The backs are completely finished in bookmatch cherry. The wood displays exceptional color, grain and movement. The unmistakable look of old money. Excellent Restored Condition. The pieces have been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The finish demonstrates wonderful tone, depth and sheen. Retains the Maker mark. There are a match pair of these chests available.
