A spectacular meticulously restored pair of Art Deco rattan loungers, circa 1940. While unmarked, the chairs are consistent with the groundbreaking Viggo Boesen model VB 136 chair produced by E.V.A. Nissen and initially delivered in 1936. Rattan construction finished in dramatic espresso lacquer with cane accents in caramel. Incredible quality, craftsmanship and design execution. The pieces are stout, sturdy and comfortable; built for heavy regular use. The rattan has aged to absolute perfection. Organic art intended to anchor an important room. Excellent restored condition. The pieces have been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered; the finish demonstrates a beautiful rich depth and luster.
