An absolutely jaw-dropping chest/buffet from a rare series by American of Martinsville, circa 1960. Beautiful, stout hardwood case construction, with brass and leather accents. Fabulous detail and craftsmanship. The A of M designers were always cognizant of great furniture being produced by rival manufacturers. This piece gives a clear nod to the Renzo Rutilli for Johnson Furniture production of the same time period. Exquisite jewelry! Excellent restored condition, in cream lacquer. Retains the maker mark. For change of lacquer color, please add $700.00. Should Nickel hardware be desired, please add $900.00 for re-plate.
