A remarkable Emperors seat by the wickedly Talented Betty Cobonpue, circa 1980. Steamed reed rattan with a stunning detail over solid mahogany construction. Stout, heavy and built like a tank. Aged to absolute perfection. Magnificent design, execution, material selection and craftsmanship – a true Work of Art. This rare example is from Cobonpue’s boutique Scultural series. A spectacular focal point, particularly at the foot of a bed or at a fireplace. Excellent restored condition. The bench has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The finish radiates a fabulous warmth, depth and luster. All rattan veneer is intact and complete.
