An exquisite 12 drawer chest by John Stuart, circa 1960. Superbly crafted solid black walnut case construction with drawer fronts veneered in bookmatched elm. Simple solid brass Art Deco influenced hardware accent the case. Stunning design and craftsmanship – aged to absolute perfection. From a time when the Lincoln Continental ruled the road and Detroit was the centre of the universe. The unmistakable look of old money. Excellent restored condition. The piece has been professionally cleaned and meticulously restored. The woods display a rich warmth and range of color. Lacquer finish with fabulous depth and lustre. Retains the Maker mark.
