An incredible complete five (5) piece Art Deco seating set by Heywood-Wakefield, circa 1935. These examples are attributed to the esteemed Gilbert Rohde, who did design work for the firm during the 1930’s. This storied furniture company is widely regarded for producing the finest rattan furniture in the United States. Steamed oak construction with accents in rush and cane. Individual examples from the deco era are difficult to find. A complete set of this magnitude is the Collector’s equivalent of capturing a purple unicorn. This rare set consists of: two (2) lounge chairs; two (2) end tables and one (1) three seat sofa. Sizes: sofa 73.5 inches width, 35 depth, 11 inch seat platform, 28 high (back), 21.5 arm height.
