The rarest of the rare, an exceptional, meticulously restored set of ten (10) Klismos cane dining chairs by Baker Furniture, circa 1958. A set of this magnitude is the collector’s equivalent to capturing a Purple Unicorn. This design is routinely attributed to the esteemed Michael Taylor. Expertly crafted solid cherry construction with stellar lines and detail. Finished in a dark walnut stain – aged to absolute perfection. Beautiful cane panel inset back and seats. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and coveted chair designs in the Baker archive. Important chairs intended to anchor an important dining room. Excellent restored condition. The chairs have undergone meticulous complete professional restoration. The wood demonstrates stunning warmth, depth and luster. All cane has been replaced. Sturdy, comfortable and intended for heavy regular use. The set is completely installation ready. There are two (2) host and eight (8) side chairs.
