A majestic organic commode from a limited production collection produced by Maitland Smith, circa 1985. Stout heavy mahogany construction veneered in heavy rush wicker. Mahogany case accents finished in black lacquer. Design, material selection and craftsmanship that is beyond incredible, built like a battleship. A breathtaking piece designed to anchor an important space. Excellent restored condition. The chest has been professionally cleaned; the rush has aged to absolute perfection. All mahogany accents have been professionally re-lacquered and display a radiant luster. All rush veneer is intact and complete. Retains the Maker mark.
