A stunning 12-drawer chest by John Stuart, circa 1960. Stout, expertly constructed case executed in exotic African Mahogany, atop wonderful Greek key feet. Heavy, stylish solid brass Greek key hardware mark the drawers. Aged to absolute perfection. This is a piece designed to anchor an important space. Excellent restored condition. The case has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered; the finish demonstrates a beautiful depth and sheen. The Mahogany displays stellar movement. The hardware has been professionally polished and displays a rich patina. Retains the maker mark.
