An absolutely stunning modern ten-drawer chest by Baker, circa 1980. Evidently from a limited production series, as research can find no examples like it. Stout, exquisitely crafted walnut case construction. The veneer displays a dramatic zebra-like quality. Handsome recessed drawer handle detail highlighted by a fabulous hammered brass backplate. An incredible piece of jewelry! Excellent restored condition. The chest has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The walnut displays fantastic movement and range of color. Finished in a semi-gloss lacquer, the light dances off this show-stopping piece! Retains the maker’s mark.
