A stunning multi-purpose cabinet by John Widdicomb. Stout, expertly made mahogany case construction finished in Espresso lacquer. Dramatic solid brass hardware adds accent. The wood displays beautiful grain and movement. This rare example is from the “Orientation Collection” designed by Bert England and introduced in 1965. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful case designs in the Widdicomb archive. A serious piece designed to anchor an important room. Excellent restored condition. The cabinet has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The finished demonstrates fabulous tone and depth. Brass hardware with lovely patina. Retains the Maker mark.
