Elegant Restored Black Lacquer Raffia Commode in the Style of Parzinger

A exquisite restored vintage two-drawer chest or commode. Stout, exceptionally crafted solid hardwood case construction atop a simple rattan base. Veneered in cane with a finished back. The drawers are marked with fabulous solid brass strap hardware. Stellar workmanship and quality. The unmistakable look of old money. Stunning jewelry! The piece no longer displays a visible Maker’s mark. The design, construction quality and unusual hardware are consistent with the Tommi Parzinger Pavilion Collection for Willow and Reed, circa 1955. Excellent Restored Condition. The chest has been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. All cane veneer and rattan bindings are intact and complete. The brass hardware has been hand polished and displays lovely patina.
