A stellar pair of rare modern lounge chairs, circa 1955. Beautifully conceived and expertly crafted solid Walnut construction with solid Brass sabots accenting the leg. Stout and extremely comfortable. A pair of these rare chairs were sold in the Febuary, 2012 Palm Beach Modern Auction as attributed to T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Additionally, another pair were chronicled in a 2010 Elle Decor magazine spread – also noted as being a Gibbings design. These examples are unmarked. Incredible pieces of Jewelry.
